The Treasure of Forgotten Weavings of Azerbaijan
, posted on 22 May 2005. Comments 0
In Azerbaijan my country, there are so many forgotten treasure of weavings which has stayed only in the lingering memories of Old Azerbaijan s narrow stone paths and mysterious allies surrounded by castle walls where once walked the noblest of men feeling the cool windy breezes from the Caspian sea, in the Maiden Tower standing unmoved, bold with truth, whispering from her ancient stones the divine beauty of our art for who ever has a pure heart can surely hear these soft murmurings. Foresty airy mountains and lush green hills entwined with small lakes blessed with wondrous waters, ruins of small beautiful towns scattered around the country and of course the dusty longing minds of our older generation. --- Copyright: Vugar Dadashov Caucasian Rugs Read More ...

Tips for Collecting Silver
, posted on 13 Aug 2004. Comments 0
"How can I tell if my flatware is sterling or silverplated?" This is our most frequently-asked question. If it doesn't have the word "sterling", then it most likely is not sterling silver.
The word "sterling" is found on American silver dating after 1860. Early American silver is very rare and was usually marked with only the maker's name or initials. Silverplate has the maker or company name and often includes terms such as "A1" or "quadruple plate". These are various descriptions of the amount of applied silver.
Whether you choose to collect sterling or silverplate, the following tips apply.

I have had a background in dance and a foundation in all aspects of stage performance. I appreciate the dedication of entertainers and understands the desire of these entertainers to express their talents. All entertainers, me included, have a dream of being discovered. It is not only heartbreaking but extremely discouraging to see these hopes and dreams fade or worse completely diminished.

Art supply online warehouses – a great way to save By Susan G Phillips
It can be a lot of fun walking into an art supply store at the mall or to a local art and craft warehouse. The shelves contain a variety of art supplies, from acrylic paints to wooden easels, and the staff are often very friendly and passionate because they too are artists. However, what isn't so friendly is overpaying – why pay full retail prices when you could be getting discount art supplies through an online art supply store or warehouse.

Painting as a Spiritual Expression
, posted on 16 Aug 2004. Comments 0
Is a painting no more than a piece of paper with lines and color or is it more than that? In the hands of the master painter, who is painting in the spirit; the lifeless piece of paper with its lines and colors, is transformed into a creation that has life, just as the master creator gave life to his creation. The painter transmits the essence of his spirit to his creation, the "painting."
