Hello I'm new here. I'm 25 years old, been interested in antiques, even collecting, since I was 12. Well, what I could afford anyways. Helps that I knew some kind older people (friends of the family) who loved how interested I was in antiques, and gave me some of theirs stuff they brought over from Europe to start me off. I even went to the Antique road show when it went to Sacremento California, in 1998, when I was 15.
A lot of times I couldn't afford antiques, but it wouldn't stop me from looking, and maybe finding some "treasure" somewhere. But I had stopped that for awhile.
I have recently moved to Quebec Canada, and I'm finding that the potentially old stuff I find here is much older than stuff in California, and much more common. So I'm picking my old hobby right back up. I have even been to this antique store near by and realized I hadn't totally lost my old antique instincts. I spotted a ton of fakes. =( I hate that.
But regardless, I still need advice. I know somethings but not all obviously. Not even experts will know everything about everything.
So yea thats it. heehheee =D
Nice to meet you all!
